Mr Wong is appointed as the interim CEO of K&S effective October 29, 2025. He joined K&S in September 2011, as General Counsel & Senior Vice President, Legal Affairs, and is appointed the Company's Chief Financial Officer (Finance, IT & Facilities).

Mr Wong has over 20 years of legal leadership at U.S. listed and Asian-based companies with a wealth of experience in global corporate law.

Mr Wong previously served as General Counsel of Gigamedia Limited, a company listed on NASDAQ. Prior to that, he was a Senior Legal Counsel at NASDAQ listed CDC Corporation. He was also an executive with Cowen Latitude Asia, the wholly-owned Asia investment bank subsidiary of the Cowen Group.

Mr Wong was admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada (Ontario) in 1993, Law Society of British Columbia in 1993 and Law Society of Hong Kong in 1997. He obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the University of British Columbia in Canada.

Nelson is currently the Senior Vice President of the Global Sales & Global Supply Chain at Kulicke & Soffa.

Nelson joined K&S in 1997 as Application Manager before moving on to lead the Ball Bonder Product Management team. Prior to joining K&S, Nelson was the Process and Packaging Engineering Manager at STMicroelectronics for 13 years.

Nelson holds an MBA degree and a degree in Physics from National University of Singapore.

Bob is currently the Senior Vice President of Central Engineering and Chief Technology Officer, responsible for the research and development of packaging solutions across all K&S products.
 
He started his career at K&S in the 1980’s and has held many roles in the organization such as Wire Bonding Development Engineer, Equipment Development Director, and Vice President of Process Engineering. He was at the forefront of the technology development for Copper wire bonding. Currently, he is leading our R&D and pathfinding for advanced packaging.
 
Bob has more than 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry and has published more than 50 papers with multiple patents.
 
Bob holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State University. He has also completed courses on Management Studies at Stanford University and MIT Sloan. 

Meng Kwong is currently the Senior Vice President, leading the Aftermarket Products & Services Business Unit organization in Kulicke & Soffa. He is responsible for leading, expanding and creating competitive advantage of the Aftermarket Products and Services portfolio to drive market share gain and revenue growth.

Prior to joining K&S, MK was the General Manager of Mattson Support Product Group at Mattson Technology, a leading supplier of semiconductor processing equipment to the global semiconductor industry. He was responsible for the company’s aftermarket products’ business, global service organization and regional logistics operation. Before Mattson Technology, he was the General Manager of Customer Support Business Group for South East Asia regions at Lam Research and has a career that spans more than 20 years at leading semiconductor equipment companies including Novellus Systems and Applied Materials.

MK holds a Master of Science degree in Physics and a bachelor’s degree in Physics from National University of Singapore.

John serves as Vice President and General Manager of the Advanced Solutions Business Unit, responsible for developing and managing the products of the Advanced Packaging solution. 

Since joining K&S in 1995, John has held a variety of leadership and engineering roles, including Motion Systems Development Engineer, Global Director of Mechanical Engineering, and Vice President of Advanced Packaging Engineering.

With over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, John has been involved in the development of multiple wire bonding and advanced packaging machine platforms. He is also a named inventor on multiple patents.

John holds a Master’s and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania.

Ivy serves as Vice President and General Manager of the wire bonding business units, with products including ball bonders, wedge bonders, and clip attach solutions.

Ivy started her career in K&S as a process engineer in 1994, she has held various technical and management roles including Director of Process Engineering and VP of Ball Bonder Engineering.

With over 30 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, Ivy has been driving innovation and operational excellence in wire bonding equipment and technologies. She has over 60 worldwide patents and co-authored two electronic packaging books.

Ivy holds a Master’s and a Ph.D degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics from University of Pennsylvania. She attended University of Science and Technology of China for her undergraduate study.  She completed the Executive Development Program in Wharton School. 

Cheam joined K&S in September 2010, as Director of Strategic Marketing and Business Development, and was most recently appointed as Vice President of Corporate Strategy. Cheam has over 20 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.

Prior to joining K&S, Cheam was the Senior Director, Strategic Marketing at GLOBALFOUNDRIES. He was the Senior Director of Product Marketing at Chartered Semiconductor (now GLOBALFOUNDRIES). He has held numerous technical positions in IC Designing and Field Application Engineering at IBM Microelectronics, STMicroelectronics and Fairchild Semiconductor.

Cheam holds a Master of Science degree in Electronics from Queen’s University of Belfast.

Lisa joined K&S in January 2012, as Vice President of Global Human Resources.

She comes to K&S with over 14 years of HR experience in both the public and private sector and has a wealth of international HR experience in the Asian markets.

Prior to joining K&S, Lisa was with Dell and held various instrumental roles. She was responsible for talent management, leadership development, and organizational development.

Lisa is a seasoned strategic HR professional with a strong business acumen. She holds a Bachelor of Law from the National University of Singapore, an MBA from the London Business School and a Masters in Human Resource Management. 

Zi Yao is currently the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Kulicke and Soffa.
 
Zi Yao joined K&S in December 2020 as Senior Manager, Legal Affairs. He was promoted to Director, Legal Affairs in January 2023 and as Senior Director, Legal Affairs in July 2024. Most recently, he has been appointed as Vice President, Legal Affairs, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
 
Zi Yao previously served as the Senior Regional Counsel at Sumitomo Chemical. Prior to that, he was a Corporate Counsel at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Zi Yao started his legal career in private practice with Dentons, focusing on M&A, securities and corporate law.

Zi Yao obtained a Bachelor of Laws from the National University of Singapore and was admitted to the Law Society of Singapore in 2013.

Eugene joined K&S in January 2013, as Senior Director for Consumables Products (Capillaries and Blades).  He was promoted to Vice President (VP) of Business Development and Product Marketing for the Aftermarket Product Services (APS) Business Unit in 2017.  He was appointed as VP of Global Business Operations (Business fulfilment and Sales Operations) in 2019. Most recently, he has been appointed as Vice President, Equipment Manufacturing Operations and Quality.

Eugene has more than 30 years’ experience in the Semiconductor industry, holding various positions in Business Development and Product Management with several NASDAQ listed Semiconductor equipment and material companies in California.  He has also served as GM Sales Head for Greater China for two US subsidiaries, stationed in Taiwan.

Eugene holds a Masters degree in Materials Science Engineering and a Bachelors degree in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering from The Ohio State University, Columbus Ohio, USA.
